Jonas and his runny nose

It feels like Jonas has suffered from a runny nose all season.  As I look through pictures, skipping over the ones of Jonas with fluid dripping from his nose, I realize how persistent his cold really was.  So, out of my desire to remember all of life's moments and not just the fluid-free ones, here are some of the many photos of Jonas and his oh-so drippy nose.  If you have a sensitivity to viewing bodily fluid, I suggest you skip this post! :p

Maya

My brother and sister-in-law had a beautiful baby girl last Monday.  They called her Maya, which I think is just about the prettiest name ever.  I got to see Maya in the hospital, but the kids were sick the day she was born.  So this weekend, we all went out to meet Maya at her home.   Ethan was worried that she wouldn't be little anymore, but he was pleased to see she was still itty-bitty (6lbs. 14 oz. at birth).  Congratulations David and Jessica and thanks for sharing her with us! 

We each had to take a turn and of course have pictures to prove it!

French Bonhomme

 The French Immersion schools in Abbotsford enjoyed celebrating Bonhomme at Chief Dan George Middle School.  They had games, shows, and food (my favourite was the crepes) for the kids to enjoy, but most of all they were excited to see their friends.  Ethan ran into many of the boys in his class and played hockey, curling and Snakes and Ladders with them.  It was a fun celebration!

Dinner with "Chef"

Nancy and Cory invited us to share a Mexican dinner with them and some other friends, made by a chef in their home.  The food was amazing and we had fun guessing at the Mexican trivia questions, too!  Thanks, Nancy and Cory for inviting us to share your dinner.

Optimus Prime

We recently purchased some new chairs for our family room.  

The boxes they came in were 'L' shaped and when put together made a perfect Optimus Prime (or so I was told).  The boys cut out holes for windows and created doors.  We even spent some time decorating OP, but the best part was playing inside.  Both Jonas and Ethan enjoyed the 'truck', so much that it stayed in our living room for far too long! :)

Morgan and Jonas

We recently, had the privilege of watching our nephew, Morgan.  It was so cute to watch Morgan and Jonas watch each other with such curiosity.  Adorable!
